Genesis will recognize National Engineers Week by bringing engineers, classroom teachers, and students together for a nationwide webcast on February 21, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. PDT. The production will feature a classroom activity titled "The Inclined Pendulum" from the upcoming Genesis Destination L1: A Thematic Unit education module.

Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) engineers, including Trajectory Analyst Jennie Johannesen and Project Manager Chet Sasaki, will join Loma Alta, CA, high school teacher Tom Curley and students in an activity that examines the effect of gravity on planetary orbits.
