Dawn Mission Initiates Newsletter
11/11/02
The ninth Discovery mission, Dawn, will be launched in May 2006 to orbit asteroids Vesta and Ceres. Achieving Dawn's goal of understanding the origin and early
evolution of the solar system through the study of these two very complementary bodies requires close coordination with the small body and meteorite communities.
The Dawn science team wants to maintain a close collaboration with their colleagues, and as a first step has established a mailing list of those who wish to be
kept informed of the status of the Dawn investigation and opportunities for collaboration with the team. The current plan is to do this by issuing an occasional,
brief electronic newsletter.
If you would like to be on the Dawn email list, please send email to majordomo@igpp.ucla.edu with the following in the body of the message:
subscribe dawn
Once on the list, you may unsubscribe from the list by sending the following to majordomo@igpp.ucla.edu:

The Dawn Science Team looks forward to your participation in this exciting adventure.
